"Don't we all?" was the same response that I had originally. And, like you, I was pretty skeptical of the whole deal.
Then I looked into it a little bit more, and found out that the company, Free Ipods, was pretty damn legit.
I looked around the internet, and found a couple different sites that seemed to give it more credit. Here's the first,
here's another.
To summarize, in case you didn't want to read through those two sites, Gratis Networks set this whole thing up. They are paid by an advertising company, who is paid by AOL, Ebay,
BMG, etc to get users to go to their sites. This is an undisclosed sum anywhere from $25-90, and if you do the math you can see that Gratis is making more than enough to give out the iPods.
here. Choose your iPod, Mini, or Gift Certificate, and enter your email address and password. I have heard that a Hotmail account isn't necessarily the best provider to use, as it doesn't interface very well
with the site.
2-Next, enter the email addresses of five or more friends who are willing to help you out in this endeavor. Make sure that you have spoken with your friends when you give out their
email address, as you don't want to spam anyone. You can also skip this step, and come back to it later.
3-The next step is where most people balk: completing an offer. It really is pretty simple, it just takes some time to get through. Choose one of the offers, some are free, some are
free but still require a credit card before you can complete, and some cost varying degrees of money. Regardless of what offer you choose, follow it through to the end, and then you are well on your way.
4-The rest should be pretty self-explanatory. The website will let you know how many people have signed up under your referral link, and if they have completed an offer or not.
It will also let you know if you need to do anything else in order to complete your offer. Above all else, be patient.
A word of caution: only one free iPod can be sent to each individual address, regardless of how many different people live at that adress. And Gratis Networks will find out and put
a hold on the account of those who try to get around this. It really isn't worth trying to scam the system.
Again, the link is Free iPods to get yours. Happy Hunting!
